CV (English)

Damien Jeannerat was born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1970. After graduating from the University of Geneva with a degree in chemistry and biochemistry in 1994, he enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) methodology under the supervision of Geoffrey Bodenhausen at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. In 1997, he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, entitled “Progress in Cross-Peak Structure Analysis in Two-Dimensional NMR Spectroscopy,” at the University of Lausanne. From 1997 to 2019, he worked at the Organic Chemistry Department at the University of Geneva. Initially, he worked as a postdoctoral student and later as a group leader, funded by the State and the Swiss National Fund. Since 2019, he has been working independently and primarily collaborates with Mestrelab as an Mnova developer while also maintaining some involvement in the field of chemistry data.

Damien Jeannerat est né à Genève en 1970 et a obtenu son diplôme en chimie à l’Université de Genève en 1994. Après une thèse en méthodologie de la Résonance Magnétique Nucléaire sous la direction du Professeur Geoffrey Bodenhausen en 1997 (Université de Lausanne et National High Magnetic Field Laboratory de Tallahasse en Floride/USA), il a poursuivit ses recherches au Département de Chimie Organique de l’Université de Genève, d’abord dans le cadre d’un post-doc avec le prof. U. Burger, puis comme chercheur indépendant (Maître Assistant). Entre octobre 2004 et Août 2019, il était Maître d’enseignement et de recherche. Membre-associé de la commission éditoriale de Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry depuis 2016. Leader de l’initiative “NMReDATA” visant à définir un format de fichier multi-plateforme unifié et compatible avec les bases de données pour les données RMN extraites de l’analyse complète des composés organiques. Depuis 2019, il est indépendant et collabore principalement avec Metrelab pour le développement de Mnova et garde une petite part de son temps pour les données chimiques.
